And I'm back. Hope the wait wasn't too annoying for folks.

The hot water in my apartment sucks. It's like 95 degrees when I go to take a bath. After much complaining to my managers I found out why. It turns out my complex uses "Energy Efficient" water heaters. What they do is they let the water cool to 95 degrees if there has been no hot water used for a while. I don't regularly use hot water for anything but bathing. I mean, I do laundry once per week, and run the dishwasher once per 4 days or so, but that's it. So whenever I want to take a bath, I have to "activate" the heater by drawing some hot water out of it first, then wait a half hour.

Needless to say, I find this very annoying, so I asked my complex why they would do this to me. Answer: Massachusetts state law requires it.

Ok, I like Boston and all, but HEY, MASSACHUSETTS! FUCK YOU! What kind of retarded tree-humping morons created that law? I don't mind conservation, but I want my bath hot, ok? It's a basic need. Mandate energy efficient refrigerators or something. Also, this bullshit law affects people like me who live in apartments. Everyone who owns their own house just *doesn't* use energy efficient heaters.

So I'm going to get a timer controlled valve and run a tube from my spare bathroom sink's nozzle to it, and then to the drain. I'll have the faucet set to pure hot water. So every 20 minutes or so, it'll let the hot water run for like 20 seconds. I think I'll call it the "Fukumass".
